MitE Plant Operator – Amey

Contract type: 12‑month contract, full‑time, on site at Beacon Barracks, Stafford (ST180AQ
)

Salary: £32,097 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

What you will do:

• Keep your personal Plant Logbook up to date to reflect military and commercial plant and MHE availability.
• Maintain and service plant and MHE – Level 1 operator maintenance and servicing of military and commercial plant and MHE.
• Carry out first, halt and last parade service on plant and MHE.
• Prompt fault reporting and record keeping to reflect the current state of plant and MHE.
• Drive and operate plant and MHE in compliance with driver disciplines for vehicle classification and safety considerations.
• Load and unload plant and MHE on/off transporters and rail flats.
• Complete all related job and service documentation correctly, with necessary signatures and documents obtained from the customer.

What you will bring:

• Previous experience operating plant and MHE is advantageous; full training is provided if you hold a Category C (HGV) driving licence.
• Previous military experience is an advantage; full military reservist training is offered.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
• Understanding of customer needs.
