Position:
General Handy Person in HMYOI Drake Hall, a women’s prison and young offender institution. This role provides general maintenance work to support a safe and high‑quality environment.

39 hours per week, 8am – 5pm (shift pattern includes weekend days; optional 1‑of‑3 weekend rota with additional 15% allowance). Base salary: £27,426 per year.

• Collaborate with a dynamic team to perform general maintenance tasks and assist tradespeople on site.
• Take on various FM duties as directed by the team manager.
• Maintain high health and safety standards across the contract.
• Contribute to local and business zero‑carbon initiatives, working towards sustainability goals.

• Solid experience in DIY/general building maintenance.
• CITB relevant certification or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as public transport links are limited.
• Prison security clearance (Amey will support you through the process).
