Job DescriptionShift Pattern:
Monday‑Friday rotating shift – 06:00am‑14:00pm & 14:00pm‑22:00pm.
Salary: £32,282.19 + allowance of £3,228.22 per annum.
Your job duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Run a busy shift managing around 50 people across various work streams.
- Handle damaged items in a fast‑paced environment, thinking on your feet.
- Take responsibility for most HR aspects: attendance, performance management, briefing the team, reacting to operational dynamics and positioning people to hit targets.
- Provide training for new and existing staff to achieve the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Support the Shift Supervisor in achieving timely and efficient receipt, pallet build, put‑away and dispatch of stock.
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained and stock integrity is optimised.
- Plan staffing levels to meet required efficiency.
- Develop and train all team members to maximise their contribution and plan succession.
- Motivate the shift team to achieve or exceed productivity and service KPIs.
- Monitor and control the work environment to operate at optimum efficiency.
- Communicate personably with drivers and operatives, finding solutions for potential challenges.
- Experience managing teams within a multi‑client warehouse environment desirable.
- Process‑oriented – appreciation for specific client requirements.
- Track record of delivering quality and cost improvements through continuous improvement.
- People manager – lead by example, encourage team spirit and motivate a team.
- Adaptable & responsive to change – ability to monitor workflow and move workforce accordingly.
- Computer literate and able to follow complex instructions.
