About the Role

The successful Registered Manager will provide day-to-day leadership for the domiciliary care service, ensuring that high standards of care, compliance and professionalism are consistently maintained.

The organisation is a small, CQC-regulated care provider operating across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Wolverhampton. The service already has established care-management and record-keeping systems, including Birdie and Atlas
, allowing the successful candidate to focus on leading the team and delivering quality care.

This role would suit a proactive and experienced care leader who values autonomy, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

As the Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day leadership of the domiciliary care service.
  • Ensuring the service remains compliant with CQC regulations and inspection-ready.
  • Managing the recruitment, induction, supervision and performance of care staff.
  • Building positive relationships with service users, families and external agencies.
  • Developing, reviewing and auditing risk assessments and person-centred care plans.
  • Managing staff rotas, records and reporting using Birdie and Atlas.
  • Handling safeguarding concerns, complaints and incidents professionally and in accordance with company policies.
  • Providing coaching, training and development to members of the care team.
  • Monitoring quality and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Supporting the ongoing development and expansion of the service.
Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Current experience as a CQC Registered Manager for the regulated activity of personal care.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of CQC registration and inspections
    .
  • Proven experience leading a care team and maintaining high standards of care.
  • A strong understanding of CQC regulations and adult social care standards.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
    , or be working towards the qualification.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and a compassionate approach to care.

Experience working with people with learning disabilities and autism is desirable but not essential.
