We are looking for an experienced Production Planner & Scheduler to join our UK team, supporting our Adhesives department
. This is a key role responsible for ensuring efficient planning, scheduling, and supply of raw materials and finished goods to meet business and customer needs.
Reporting directly to the UK Production Planning Manager
, you will play a critical part in driving operational excellence, improving processes, and maintaining strong supplier relationships within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Lead bulk raw material and packaging procurement
, production planning, and scheduling - Develop and manage production plans to meet customer demand while optimising resources
- Monitor production activity and proactively identify improvements and solutions
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of production plans
- Manage supplier relationships and expedite critical raw materials
- Ensure security of supply for key materials
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain continuity
- Drive improvements in:
- Scheduling adherence (KPI)
- Process efficiency and quality
- Inventory management (DSI, slow movers, excess stock)
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through continuous improvement
- Support and drive cultural and behavioural change within production where required
- Customer service performance (On-Time Shipment – OTS)
- Inventory control (DSI and stock optimisation)
- Vendor collaboration and engagement
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in:
- Supply planning (raw materials & packaging)
- Inventory management
- Strong knowledge of MRP planning (SAP preferred)
- Proven ability to manage and deliver KPIs
- Power BI experience (advantageous)
- Strong leadership and decision-making ability
- High level of autonomy and accountability
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement
- Confidence to challenge the status quo
- Based at our Stafford site
