Production Team Leader

Extra Recruitment are recruiting for a Production Team Leader in the Hixon area. Details of a Production Team Leader Hixon ST18 Monday to Thursday £15 per hour 6am - 4pm Temp - Perm role Roles of a Production Team Leader Lead, motivate and support a team of production operatives Conduct daily team briefings and communicate production priorities Monitor attendance, timekeeping and performance Assist with training, onboarding and development of team members Ensure production plans and schedules are achieved Allocate labour and resources effectively to meet customer requirements Monitor workflow and identify production bottlenecks Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards Promote a right-first-time culture throughout the production area Maintain production records and traceability where required Promote and maintain safe working practices at all times Support Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence activities Monitor productivity and efficiency within the team Requirements of a Production Team Leader Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, assembly, engineering, logistics or industrial environment Previous experience leading, supervising, mentoring or coordinating a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to organise workloads and manage priorities effectively Good problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Competent with basic computer systems and production documentation Positive attitude and willingness to lead by example Desirable experience within wiring harness, cable assembly, electronics, automotive, aerospace, rail or defence sectors Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles would be advantageous Experience using ERP/MRP systems would be beneficial Benefits of a Production Team Leader 28 Holidays per year Weekly Pay Pension Scheme Employed Status Mortgage references
