Masstempsare currently looking or a Manual Machinist for a company located in the Burton upon Trent area.

• Operate manual machining equipment including Centre Lathes, Capstan Lathes and Vertical/Horizontal Borers.
• Set and operate machines to produce components accurately to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Work with a range of materials and carry out machining to required tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and machining instructions.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds and feeds for different machining operations.
• Measure and inspect own work using micrometers, verniers, gauges and other precision measuring equipment.
• Make adjustments to machinery and tooling to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area and follow all company health & safety procedures.

• Previous experience working as a Manual Machinist within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Essential experience operating one or more of the following:
• Centre Lathes:
  Colchester, TRENS or Harrison.
• Vertical Borers:
  Webster Bennett.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Confident measuring and inspecting own work to ensure components meet required tolerances.
• Good knowledge of manual machining processes, tooling and cutting techniques.
• Ability to work accurately and independently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Mon to Thur 6-3 Fri 11pm OR 7-4 / fri 7-12

Location:

Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire ( Barton Under Needwood).

Hours:

Monday to Thursday – 07:00 to 17:00,Fri 07:00 to 13:00.Own transport is advised due to location.
