About the RoleLast year, 786,574 people were offered information and support from Victim Support. As a Service Delivery Volunteer based in Staffordshire, you will provide specialist support services for people affected by crime. This role is based at Victim Support, St Johns House, Weston Road, Stafford, ST16 3RZ
, and involves volunteering within the Domestic Abuse team, supporting adult service users.
In this role, you may support the delivery of Domestic Abuse Awareness programmes, both online and face-to-face, including co‑facilitating sessions. You will help develop your communication skills while supporting individuals affected by crime, and you may also be involved in record keeping, safeguarding, and developing knowledge around domestic abuse. The role includes using online platforms to co‑deliver sessions and participating in quarterly meetings with other volunteers.
There are also opportunities to attend community events to help promote Victim Support services.
You must be aged 18 or over and able to commit to at least 3 hours per week for a minimum of 12 months. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a willingness to support vulnerable individuals are important. You will need to complete a DBS check, be part of the DBS update service, undergo Police Vetting, and provide two satisfactory references. A laptop is required for this role.

Trainingand Expenses
You will complete a 12‑week training programme, including ten virtual training days and approximately 35 hours of online learning modules. All out‑of‑pocket expenses related to volunteering, including travel and lunch, will be reimbursed.
HoursVolunteers are expected to contribute 3 or more hours per week.
