About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Level 2 NDT Technician to join our Engineering Materials Laboratory team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections on production components, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and company standards.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment, supporting product integrity, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Resposibilities
- Perform Level 2 NDT inspections using Magnetic Flaw Detection (MPI), Penetrant Flaw Detection (PT), and Acid Etch Inspection (AEI).

- Process production components in accordance with approved inspection procedures and quality standards.

- Investigate and inspect components from production, test, and in-service environments.

- Support non-conformance investigations and corrective action activities.

- Liaise with internal customers, engineering, and quality teams.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the NDT department.

- Assist with NADCAP audit preparation and compliance activities.

- Monitor and support calibration of NDT equipment and processes.

- Maintain accurate inspection records and certification documentation.

- Level 2 NDT certification (current or held within the last 12 months) in EN4179, NAS
410, ASNT, or PCN.

- Qualified in at least one of the following inspection methods:
1) Magnetic Flaw Detection (MPI/MFD)
2) Penetrant Flaw Detection (PT/PFD)
3) Acid Etch Inspection (AEI) - Experience performing NDT inspections within a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or similar regulated environment.

- Ability to interpret and follow technical procedures, specifications, and quality requirements.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Proactive approach to problem-solving and supporting corrective actions.

- Ability to work a rotating 3-shift pattern (days, bridging shift, nights). Desirable skills
- Certifications in all three core NDT disciplines (MPI, PT, and AEI).

- Completed engineering apprenticeship.

- ONC/HNC qualification in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.

- Experience with NADCAP audits.

- Knowledge of Titanium Acid Etch Inspection and/or Barkhausen Noise Inspection.

- Experience supporting equipment calibration and continuous improvement activities.
