Business Development Manager

Staffordshire with UK-wide travel

£38,000 - £45,000 + Uncapped Bonus Structure

Office-Based

Macildowie are working with a leading construction client based in Staffordshire to recruit a Business Development Manager for a growing specialist business.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially driven sales professional looking to play a key role in the continued growth of an established and expanding organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and developing opportunities within major contractor and strategic client accounts.
    Building relationships with key decision-makers across target organisations.
    • Generating and qualifying project opportunities through proactive business development activity.
    • Conducting face-to-face and virtual meetings with clients across the UK.
    • Developing account growth strategies and maintaining regular client engagement.
    • Attending industry events, exhibitions and networking opportunities.
    • Managing and maintaining an active pipeline of qualified opportunities.
    • Ensuring all activity is accurately recorded within the CRM system.
    • Providing regular pipeline and activity reporting to senior management.
    • Collaborating with internal sales and commercial teams to support successful project delivery.

The Candidate:

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience managing sales pipelines and developing new business opportunities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Confidence conducting client meetings both virtually and in person.
    • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
