Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Commercial Manager.
We are looking for an experienced and sales driven Commercial Manager to develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships and drive profitable growth.
The Role
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships and delivering the company's commercial objectives.
Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement and finance, you will ensure opportunities are effectively developed, quoted and converted into profitable business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver the company's commercial and sales strategy.
Identify and convert new business opportunities.
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasts.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers.
Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to order.
Prepare and negotiate quotations, pricing and commercial terms.
Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts.
Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop commercially viable solutions.
Monitor market trends, competitors and new business opportunities.
Attend customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
Provide regular commercial performance updates to senior management.
Candidate:
We are looking for a commercially focused individual with experience in a technology, engineering or manufacturing environment.
You will have:
Proven experience in commercial management, sales or business development.
A strong track record of winning new business and developing existing accounts.
Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
Good commercial awareness, including pricing, margins and profitability.
The ability to understand technical products and communicate their value to customers.
Strong organisational and pipeline-management skills.
A proactive, self-motivated and results-driven approach.
The ability to work effectively across sales, engineering and manufacturing teams.
Ideally you will have previous experience in areas such as electronics, communications, IoT, OEM manufacturing or systems integration.
