Position Summary
The Safety Officer performs day-to-day safety oversight to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local workplace safety laws and regulations
, as well as company and project-specific safety policies. The role provides end-to-end safety coverage for assigned projects and supports continuous improvement of site safety performance.
- Monitor company personnel and coordinate with safety and project leadership to maintain established safety standards
- Conduct regular on-site inspections to identify hazards and verify proper implementation of safety controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and OSHA regulations
- Provide safety training to personnel on PPE usage, equipment operation, hazard mitigation, and related topics
- Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and collaborate on corrective and preventive actions
- Support development, implementation, and maintenance of safety standards aligned with regulatory and industry best practices
- Generate and maintain documentation related to inspections, incident investigations, training records, and corrective actions
- Draft and support safety documentation including AHAs, PTPs, site safety plans, and related materials
- Serve as the primary safety presence for assigned project sites
- OSHA 30 certification required (documentation must be provided)

- Rigging and Signaling
- Authorization to train in safety-related disciplines
- 1–4 years of safety experience, preferably within large-scale commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard mitigation strategies, and risk management principles
- Experience leading safety training sessions and conducting incident investigations
- Experience drafting AHAs, PTPs, and routine safety documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with field personnel, leadership, and project partners
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical or advanced education preferred)
$83,000 - $100,000 a year
