Amazon is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next‑generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

Responsibilities

The position includes scaling support of several data center locations and day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management. You will work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.

You will leverage your experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks as well as network implementation and troubleshooting. As a Network Deploy Technician, you will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with regular peer and customer interaction.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
  • Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
  • Work closely with Network Engineering and Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth rollout of established designs and products.
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing, and inter‑connectivity issues, including device configuration and low‑level application interaction.
  • Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41 pounds or more.
  • Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
  • Possibly travel regionally; walk job sites in uneven terrain, work safely at heights and from ladders.
A Day in the Life
  • Provide the first‑level networking devices to serve customer racks, tracking intake and delivery, coordinating rack space, power and cooling, and ensuring configurations are ready.
  • Participate in console builds and room builds to expand space and capacity for customer racks.
  • Build higher‑level networking devices with ‑Scaling peers.

Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience.
  • 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
  • Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Can work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
  • Experience working in a data center environment (racking, stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Compensation ranges from $55,900 per year in the lowest geographic market up to $125,100 per year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on related experience and skills. This position will remain posted until filled.
