The Medication Technician supports resident care within the branch, ensuring that residents’ daily medication needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains their dignity, allowing them to live their life to the fullest.

Responsibilities- Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to physician orders
- Understand and follow the Six rights of medication administration and all policies and procedures regarding medication management
- Understand and appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration
- Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care
- Provide direct resident care; supervise the resident care work of non-licensed team members as appropriate
- Be a leader in demonstrating the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all other team members on shift
- An active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willing to take additional training or education as required by state
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications
