Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic substantive part‑time Specialty Doctor Post within Oral Services, Maxillo‑Facial Department at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The postholder will support the Maxillo‑Facial team, share clinical responsibilities, review inpatients, provide outpatient clinics and attend minor operating lists. The successful candidate must be registered with the GDC with a valid licence.

• Provide support to the Maxillo‑Facial team within Kingston Hospital and share clinical responsibilities with professional colleagues within the department.
• Work with clinical colleagues and local managers in providing a safe, efficient and effective service for Kingston Hospital.
• Review inpatients, provision of outpatient clinics, and undertake minor operating lists.
• Support postgraduate teaching and training; research is encouraged.

• Registered with the GDC, valid licence.
• Specialist qualifications such as BDS/BChD and LDS/RCS or equivalent.
• Completed 2 years full‑time postgraduate training, or equivalent gained part‑time or flexible.
• Evidence of maintaining a portfolio of CPD.
• Teaching of junior dental and nursing staff (desirable).
• Registered with the GDC as a specialist in the relevant field (desirable).

• Higher additional qualification e.g. MOS, M Clin, Dent.
• FDSRCS/MFDS/MJDF.
