About The Role

About Your Role
  • Support the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement through effective planning, organisation and performance monitoring.
  • Develop a strong understanding of all aspects of the operation through a hands‑on approach to site management.
  • Monitor incoming waste streams and liaise with other departments regarding material quality and compliance requirements.
  • Promote and contribute to a positive SHEQ culture, ensuring company standards and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Lead by example and help set high standards for employees, contractors and site visitors.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across Commercial, Transport, Technical and other support functions.
  • Support the effective utilisation of people, plant and equipment to maximise operational performance.
  • Assist with the completion of site records, reporting requirements and performance monitoring activities.
  • Contribute to the development of operational processes and site efficiencies.
We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in recycling, waste management, aggregates, quarrying or a similar operational environment.
  • An aspiring leader looking to develop a career in operational management.
  • A team player who is equally comfortable working in an office environment and actively participating in site operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • The ability to remain focused and organised in a busy operational environment.
  • Experience of, or willingness to learn, site administration, record keeping and performance monitoring.
  • A self-motivated individual who takes ownership of their responsibilities and demonstrates a proactive approach.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
