Are you a Management Accountant seeking a dynamic role that fosters growth and decision‑making through impactful financial analysis? We're seeking a talented Management Accountant to join our client, contributing directly to the success of their organisation. As a key member of the finance department, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis, supporting management in strategic decision‑making.
Responsibilitiesof the Management Accountant
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Your role will involve producing accurate cash flow management, safeguarding business assets, and adding financial value to assigned cost centres. With tight month/year‑end deadlines, your expertise will be crucial.
- Expense and Variance Analysis: Analyse nominal accounts, ensuring accurate cost allocation to the correct centres, addressing anomalies, and conducting monthly variance analysis with comprehensive commentary.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Maintain clean balance sheets by reconciling allocated accounts monthly, explaining all entries and ensuring regular review for accuracy.
- Bank Reconciliation and Accounts Payable: Review and reconcile bank statements regularly, covering accounts payable functions when necessary, ensuring accuracy in payments and handling queries promptly.
- Credit Control and Invoicing: Support credit control and invoicing functions during absences or high workloads, ensuring adherence to amended processes.
- Budgeting, Forecasting, and KPI Reporting: Collaborate in creating annual budgets and re‑forecasts, produce KPI reports, and support cost centre owners with financial insights.
- VAT, Year End, and Projects: Reconcile VAT quarterly, contribute to year‑end statutory accounts production, handle P11D submissions, and assist in financial‑related projects and testing.
- Part‑qualified/Qualified ACCA or CIMA
- Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Meticulous attention to detail and ownership of accurate work delivery
- Proficiency in MS Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective business partnering
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to deputise for the Finance Manager, assisting in decision‑making and in return you will receive a salary between £45k-£52k + excellent benefits + staggering pension contribution + study package if required.
