Cedar is currently partnered with a VC-backed Consumer business to secure an Interim Finance Manager, based in London for an initial contract of 4-6 months. This interim role offers a competitive day rate of £400 - £450 and the opportunity to shape the financial operations of a high-growth consumer brand. The Company This VC-backed Consumer business is experiencing rapid growth, with a strong brand identity and loyal customer base.
Recent investment is enabling them to scale their finance team and expand operational capabilities, providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make a tangible impact.
The Role As Interim Finance Manager, you will:
Lead the month-end reporting process. Manage cashflow, oversee AP & AR, and financial controls to ensure strong governance and risk management. Identify and drive process improvements or automation within the finance function. Collaborate across departments to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency. Take full responsibility for balance sheet integrity. Oversee VAT control, including preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns, as well as supporting VAT queries or audits.
Your Profile You will ideally have: A formal accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Experience in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, preferably within consumer-facing businesses. Strong technical accounting skills. Proven track record of financial controls, process improvement, and operational efficiency. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and influence a cross-functional team. Availability to begin immediately or at short notice.
