Practice Nurse – Staines-upon-Thames
Location: Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey
Contract: Permanent / Part-Time or Full-Time
Salary: Up to £50,000 FTE

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice in Staines-upon-Thames
.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Practice Nurse who is looking to develop their career within a supportive primary care environment. You will be joining an established multidisciplinary team where patient care, professional development and work-life balance are genuinely valued.
The practice has a strong focus on delivering high-quality, personalised care and offers an environment where nurses are encouraged to work autonomously while having excellent clinical support available.
The RoleYou will play an important role in providing high-quality nursing care to the practice population, working closely with GPs, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
The role can be tailored around your experience and areas of clinical interest.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering high-quality treatment room and practice nursing services
- Chronic disease management and reviews
- Health promotion and preventative healthcare
- Asthma and COPD reviews
- Diabetes monitoring and management
- Hypertension and cardiovascular disease reviews
- Childhood and adult immunisations
- Cervical screening
- Wound care and dressings
- New patient health checks
- NHS health checks
- ECGs and routine clinical observations
Supporting patients with long-term conditions - Providing lifestyle advice and health education
- Working collaboratively with the wider primary care team
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical records
- Participating in clinical audits and practice development
We are keen to hear from experienced Practice Nurses who are confident working autonomously within general practice.
You should ideally have:
- Registered Nurse qualification with active NMC registration
- Previous experience working within general practice or primary care
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience managing long-term conditions
- Immunisation and vaccination experience
- Cervical screening experience is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and patient-centred approach
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team
- Up to £50,000 FTE, dependent on experience
