We are recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join a busy project team delivering complex engineering and power projects. The successful candidate will manage technical documentation throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring all drawings, specifications, quality documentation and client submissions are accurately controlled, compliant and delivered on time. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, utilities, energy, or EPC environments.

This position is a permanent full-time role and our client is located on the outskirts of Stamford. Salary for this role is up to £40K plus an excellent package of non-salaried benefits.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage document control activities across multiple engineering projects.

* Maintain document registers, revision logs and electronic document management systems (EDMS).

* Issue, receive, review and distribute drawings, specifications, calculations, datasheets, manuals and technical documentation.

* Prepare document transmittals and ensure submissions comply with contractual and client requirements.

* Monitor document status, chase overdue information and support project milestones.

* Apply version control, document numbering and naming conventions.

* Support Project Managers, Engineers and Quality teams with reporting and administration.

* Coordinate review cycles, comments, approvals and final document handover packs.

* Maintain confidential records and support ISO 9001 and audit compliance.

* Drive continuous improvement of document control processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Previous experience as a Document Controller, Technical Administrator or Project Administrator.

* Experience with in engineering, power, utilities, energy, manufacturing, construction or EPC projects.

* Excellent knowledge of document management systems (EDMS), revision control and document registers.

* Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and Outlook plus Adobe Acrobat/PDF software.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.

* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Knowledge of ISO 9001, quality systems and engineering documentation.

* High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
