We’re recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Stamford.

This is a day-shift position offering a strong basic salary, excellent benefits and the opportunity to work on high-quality engineered products for major industrial projects.

We’re looking for a skilled welder/fabricator with proven experience producing work to a high standard. Class 1 welding experience is essential, and previous experience working on welds subject to X-ray / radiographic inspection would be highly advantageous.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Class 1 welding and fabrication to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Producing high-quality welded assemblies and fabricated components
  • Preparing, fitting and welding materials accurately
  • Working to required welding procedures and quality standards
  • Carrying out visual checks and maintaining consistently high weld quality
  • Working on components where weld integrity and traceability are critical
  • Supporting fabrication, plating and general manufacturing activities as required
  • Maintaining excellent health, safety and housekeeping standards
What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a Class 1 Welder / Fabricator
  • Strong MIG / MAG welding and fabrication experience
  • Experience working from engineering drawings
  • Experience producing welds to demanding quality standards
  • X-ray / radiographic weld inspection experience or exposure would be a major advantage
  • Experience with in heavy engineering, pressure equipment, oil & gas, energy, combustion, process equipment or similar manufacturing environments would be beneficial
  • A strong focus on quality, accuracy and safety
Hours

Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am – 1:00pm

This is currently a day-shift role.

Some overtime may be available depending on workload, although this is not guaranteed.

Salary & Benefits

£33,000 – £40,000 per annum DOE
