Compensation: $50–$75/hour (Dependent on Experience)

Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Hybrid) Atlantic Group is hiring a Tax Accountant in Stamford, CT for our client. This role will support tax compliance, tax reporting, and financial documentation while ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable tax regulations. The Tax Accountant will assist with tax filings, maintain financial records, and collaborate with accounting and finance teams to support efficient tax operations.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and review tax compliance documentation, filings, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
- Partnership Tax Reporting: Assist with Schedule K-1 preparation, review, reconciliation, and distribution.
- Tax Filings: Coordinate federal, state, and local tax filing requirements and maintain supporting documentation.
- Process Management: Track tax deadlines, manage deliverables, and identify opportunities to improve tax workflows and reporting processes.
- Tax Research: Research tax regulations, reporting requirements, and technical accounting matters to support compliance activities.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with accounting, finance, and external tax professionals to resolve discrepancies and support tax-related projects.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field is required.
- Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Experience: 2+ years of tax accounting, tax compliance, or partnership tax experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with Schedule K-1 reporting, partnership taxation, tax filings, and compliance requirements is required, with investment management or alternative investment industry experience preferred.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong Excel proficiency and experience with tax preparation or compliance software are required, with experience using AI tools for tax research or workflow improvements preferred. - Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple tax deadlines independently are required.
