Role OverviewWe are seeking a 401(k) Plan Services Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for supporting plan sponsors, troubleshooting with recordkeepers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administration of retirement plans. The ideal candidate has experience in 401(k) or retirement plan administration, excels at customer service, and thrives on solving complex problems for clients.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for plan sponsors and participants on administrative and operational matters.
- Manage day-to-day plan service issues with recordkeepers, payroll providers, and other vendors.
- Research and resolve plan-related problems with a resourceful and solutions-oriented approach.
- Assist with plan compliance, contribution monitoring, distributions, and loan processing.
- Support annual plan cycles (e.g., compliance testing, Form 5500, fee disclosures).
- Document and track service requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with internal advisors and service teams to enhance the client experience.
- 2+ years of experience in 401(k) or retirement plan administration (recordkeeper, TPA, or advisory firm background preferred).
- Strong understanding of plan operations, compliance, and recordkeeping platforms.
- Excellent communication and client service skills; ability to build strong sponsor relationships.
- Resourceful problem-solver who can navigate complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office suite of applications and Salesforce.
- Industry credentials (QKA, CPFA, ASPPA, etc.) a plus but not required.
- Competitive base salary ($70,000 – $90,000 depending on experience) w/ bonus program.
