Registered Dental Hygienist

You’ll welcome patients and conduct their initial screenings, perform thorough dental cleanings, and help dentists with examinations and procedures. • Examines, charts, and cleans teeth, removing soft and hard deposits.
• Takes and develops dental X-rays.
• Prepares local anesthesia and assists in oral surgery and extraction.
• Administers preventive treatments, such as topical fluorides and pit and fissure sealants, when necessary.
• Gives instruction on oral hygiene and conducts educational programs.
• Sterilizes instruments and maintains the hygienic condition of equipment and the health care setting.
• Put patients at ease by talking with them before, during, and after the appointment
• Sterilize all dental equipment to make sure everything is properly cleaned
• Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease
• Take x-ray images of the patients’ teeth to help dentists identify any oral health issues like cavities
• Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages, such as thorough brushing and flossing twice daily

• Must have at least an associate’s degree in dental hygiene; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Able to stand up for long periods of time to administer dental exams and procedures
• 1+ years of experience in dental hygiene work
• Possesses a state license to practice dental hygiene
• Clear understanding and commitment to following HIPAA regulations and all safety guidelines

$70 - $85 hourly
