We’re searching for a personable dental hygienist to join our talented team of healthcare providers! You’ll welcome patients and conduct their initial screenings, perform thorough dental cleanings, and help dentists with examinations and procedures. Responsibilities- Examines, charts, and cleans teeth, removing soft and hard deposits.
- Takes and develops dental X-rays.
- Prepares local anesthesia and assists in oral surgery and extraction.
- Administers preventive treatments, such as topical fluorides and pit and fissure sealants, when necessary.
- Gives instruction on oral hygiene and conducts educational programs.
- Sterilizes instruments and maintains the hygienic condition of equipment and the health care setting.
- Put patients at ease by talking with them before, during, and after the appointment
- Sterilize all dental equipment to make sure everything is properly cleaned
- Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease
- Take x-ray images of the patients’ teeth to help dentists identify any oral health issues like cavities
- Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages, such as thorough brushing and flossing twice daily
- Must have at least an associate’s degree in dental hygiene; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Able to stand up for long periods of time to administer dental exams and procedures
- 1+ years of experience in dental hygiene work
- Possesses a state license to practice dental hygiene
- Clear understanding and commitment to following HIPAA regulations and all safety guidelines
$70 - $85 hourly
