Long-term Substitute School Counselor
Stamford Public Schools has an opening for a long-term substitute school counselor. This assignment is expected to continue for more than 40 days and requires a Connecticut State Department of Education Certification.
ResponsibilitiesThe School Counselor is responsible for assisting students in attaining their maximum personal and educational development by offering a variety of support services including individual and group counseling, development and monitoring of students’ academic programs, consultation and collaboration with students, parents, community, faculty, administration, and the development of student and family informational programs. School Counselors implement a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes and supports college and career readiness for all students.
Qualifications- Connecticut State Department of Education Certification required.
- Preference may be given to teachers who are dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL, with experience in Sheltered Instruction or fluency in a language other than English.

- Long-Term Substitute Compensation:
Certified: $225 per day
The filling of this position is based upon continued funding in the Board of Education budget.
