NBC Sports is looking for an experienced Transmission Operator to support live broadcast operations from our Stamford facility. In this role, you'll coordinate with internal teams, transmission providers, and technology partners to ensure reliable, high-quality content delivery for some of the biggest events in sports, including the Olympics, NFL, NBA, golf, and soccer.

The ideal candidate has experience with broadcast transmission technologies such as fiber, satellite, bonded cellular, IP-based transport, video, and audio systems, along with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced live production environment.

• Coordinates transmission activities and check-ins for high-profile sporting events using the company-wide scheduling system.
• Works closely with Operations and Production teams to support transmission and routing needs and ensure high-quality broadcast delivery.
• Monitors and troubleshoots on-air video, audio, satellite, communications, and multiplexed signals across multiple broadcast streams.
• Partners with transmission carriers to resolve issues, manage escalations, coordinate maintenance, and maintain reliable service.
• Establishes standard operation procedures for transmission activities, including remote check-ins, quality control processes, ingest, and outgoing feeds.
• Provides transmission support and feed coordination for internal partners across the organization.
• Collaborates with Engineering to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Assists with equipment setup, testing, and configuration as needed.
