We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to support our growing finance team. This role is responsible for handling day to day processing of accounts payable and cash transactions and account reconciliation, including monthly bank reconciliations as well as month end close activities to support a smooth and efficient close process. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a high-volume, low-dollar transaction environment for a growing company.
Primary Responsibilities:- Process vendor invoices and payments and enter cash transactions to the General Ledger
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with the monthly close process including account reconciliation and journal entries
- Perform monthly variance analysis of expenses (i.e. Enterprise, WEX, Amex)
- Support year end close activities
- Support annual budget and planning process
- Assist with accounts receivable cash application, if needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferable in a growing company
- Experience using different accounting software; specific experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain professionalism under pressure
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
