Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location:

Stamford, CT (a short train ride from New York City)
Commercial-scale solar and battery storage

The Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing commercial-scale solar company that turns warehouse rooftops, parking lots and brownfields into power-producing assets, feeding real megawatts into the country's most capacity-constrained grids. Since 2009 they have grown to own and operate more than 1 GW of solar across 30 states, serving hundreds of enterprise customers and tens of thousands of community solar subscribers.

In 2025 they closed a major partnership with a leading climate transition infrastructure investor. They are well capitalized, backed by strategic partners, and pushing into markets with supportive energy policy. This is a company defined by expertise and execution, and this role sits at the center of how it funds that growth.

The Role

As Director of Structured Finance, you will own the capital that powers the build-out. You will lead the structuring and execution of tax equity and debt transactions, working directly with investors, lenders and rating agencies, while collaborating with development, construction, legal and operations teams.

What you'll do
  • Structure and execute tax equity and debt transactions that fund the solar investment pipeline
  • Negotiate landmark financing documents, including securitization credit agreements, tax equity partnership agreements and Holdco credit agreements
  • Drive deals to close by coordinating due diligence, consultant reports, rating agencies, counsel and every other stakeholder
  • Be the face of the company to tax equity investors and lenders through marketing, closing and ongoing facility management
  • Build and maintain the financial models behind each structured transaction
  • Partner with development, construction, legal and operations to keep projects moving
  • Monitor and report on the performance of existing facilities alongside the operations team
What You Bring
  • An undergraduate degree with an exceptional academic record
  • Significant experience as an investment professional or investment banker, ideally in structured finance, project finance or tax equity
  • Superior financial modelling and due diligence capability
  • Proven negotiation and relationship management skills, internally and externally
  • Experience presenting analyses to senior leadership and leading initiatives
  • Comfort with changing priorities and multiple simultaneous deals
  • Independence, drive and outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong integrity and a collaborative approach
