Job Description & How to Apply Below
Senior Associate, Trade Surveillance (Market Abuse)
This is a leading global multi-strategy hedge fund, with offices across the US, Europe and Asia. It trades fundamental equities, systematic strategies, global macro and private credit. Surveillance has just been set up as its own function, separate from Compliance, and this is a newly created role within it. The job is genuinely investigative rather than alert-clearing. You would work alongside a high-calibre team from intelligence and investigative backgrounds, see trading activity across every major asset class, and have real ownership of your cases.
The Role
- Lead end-to-end market abuse investigations: manipulation, insider dealing, spoofing and layering
- Run trade and e-comms surveillance across equities, fixed income and macro
- Carry out forensic investigations and write clear, concise reports on findings
- Contribute to risk assessments and alert calibration
- Work independently in a confidential team with no front-office contact
- 5–7+ years’ experience, including 3–5 years in trade surveillance focused on market abuse
- Hands-on investigation experience, not just alert review
- Strong written analysis and a qualitative, investigative mindset
- High discretion and comfort working independently
