Senior Business Systems Analyst About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support reinsurance operations for a technology-driven insurance platform. This role focuses on analyzing business and system requirements, supporting enhancements and process improvements, and delivering insights that improve operational efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Elicit, document, and manage requirements for reinsurance software projects and enhancements.
  • Analyze workflows, business logic, and system functionality with multiple stakeholders.
  • Conduct data analysis and system validation to support reporting, migrations, and process improvements.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), including preparing test scenarios and reviewing results.
  • Provide training, demonstrations, and support to internal teams and customers on system functionality.
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements through hands-on involvement.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of projects.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining business/system analysis artifacts and documentation.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in reinsurance accounting across various treaty types (Quota Share, Excess of Loss, Surplus, Stop Loss, Catastrophe, Fac/Treaties).
  • Hands-on SQL and data analysis skills for reporting, migrations, and system validation.
  • Experience with a major reinsurance software platform or equivalent implementation experience.
  • Proven ability to elicit, document, and manage complex business/system requirements with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, capable of managing high-visibility projects independently.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with API documentation, customer support, or distributed team collaboration.
Location

Remote-friendly (hybrid preferred), distributed across U.S. offices and global teams.
