MicroStrategy Developer; Stamford, CT

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Micro Strategy development.
• Must have expertise in building new dashboards and reports and then maintaining them (understand what is being built, why it's being built, and what the components are from an end user standpoint).
• SQL Expertise.
• Unit testing and test case writing/documenting skills.
• Working with fact and dimension database approach – Star Schema (StarSQL) experience.

• Exceptional communication skills.
• Analytical and critical thinker, well organized, and a team player.

• Charter Experience is a HUGE plus or telecom/cable experience.
• Power BI experience.

• Developing and fine tuning IT solutions. This can include anything from coding, testing, debugging, designing or implementing newly developed tools.
• Researching and planning solutions for existing problems within the company.
• Responsible for building online analytical processing (OLAP). They also work with databases, both relational and multidimensional.
• Responsible for managing others in the IT department or in the company.
• The primary focus of this position is to solve problems, Micro Strategy Developer is expected to always be mining data and presenting it in an understandable way. They should be capable of creating tables, writing reports on their findings, and simplify highly technical language for others in the company.
