Job Summary:

The Life Insurance Product Specialist role will support fixed and variable life insurance policy structuring, implementing, and servicing across our insurance platform within our RIA and affiliated broker-dealer. You will partner directly with advisors and our back-office services partners (underwriting, suitability, product comparison, and case design) to deliver world-class solutions for estate planning, wealth transfer, retirement planning, and risk-management needs for clients of New Edge Wealth.

Ideal candidates bring deep technical product knowledge, case design experience, and comfort interacting with UHNW advisors and clients.

Location:

Stamford, CT candidates preferred, but New York, NY candidates will be considered as well.

Responsibilities:

Case Design & Product Analysis

  • Evaluate fixed and variable insurance options based on client objectives, financial profiles, and liquidity considerations.
  • Work with advisors and back-office partners to prepare and review product illustrations, policy comparisons, carrier proposals, and underwriting strategies.
  • Provide unbiased product recommendations while coordinating with carrier wholesalers, underwriters, and analytics teams.
  • Serve as the primary internal resource for advisors on life insurance planning, product selection, and case positioning for UHNW clients.
  • Translate estate-planning and financial-planning goals into appropriate insurance strategies (e.g., wealth transfer, income replacement, premium financing considerations, trust-owned life insurance, etc.).
  • Participate in client meetings alongside advisors to explain product structures, illustrate scenarios, and support the sales process.

Operational & Compliance Management

  • Liaise with our in-house insurance entities for licensing, carrier contracting, compliance workflow, and variable product processes through the broker-dealer.
  • Work closely with compliance, operations, and new business teams to ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key carriers, IMOs/BGAs, and underwriting partners to facilitate best-in-class service.

Policy Management & Life-Cycle Oversight

  • Oversee policy placement, delivery, and in-force management across fixed and variable lines.
  • Coordinate with outside partners for ongoing policy reviews, performance monitoring, suitability assessments, and policy remediation.
  • Track all active cases, pipeline stages, and renewal activity; ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for advisors.

Marketing & Platform Development

  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop high-quality training materials, sales resources, playbooks, and educational programs for advisors.
  • Lead the preparation of client presentations and collaborate with advisor.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–10+ years of experience in life insurance distribution, advanced case design, brokerage, GA/BGA/IMO/FMO support, or carrier wholesaling.
  • Strong knowledge across life insurance products, including IUL, VUL, Whole Life, Guaranteed UL, term, and survivorship products in relation to UHNW planning.
  • Insurance Licensed and Series 7 and 63 or 66 preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills—ability to explain complex products in clear, client-friendly terms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort working through illustrations, policy performance, and projections.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and driven to build a best-in-class insurance platform.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Salary: $150,000 – $200,000, based on experience
