Responsibilities
Reporting:
Chief Administrative Officer & Global Chief Claims Officer. Reporting directly into this role will be three Global Practice leaders and two colleagues focused on exposure management.
• Globally monitor a portfolio of the largest and most complex losses and potential exposures, ensuring compliance with early warning and large loss protocols. Report insights to Chief Claims Officer, Global Leadership and other stakeholders.
• Lead the Large Loss Governance: develop the Large Loss Framework and its watchlist, ensure consistent claims handling across Business Units and Product Lines, lead round tables and strategy for claims above thresholds, and support reserving and lessons learned.
• Act as a Strategic Business Partner to GCUO leadership, providing insight on portfolio trends, supporting strategic initiatives and partnering with practice leaders.
• Lead investigations of exposures and responses to large losses and catastrophe events that cross business lines and geographies, communicate findings to the broader organization, and manage the Major Event Management response on behalf of the Chief Claims Officer.
• Moderator of the Global Practice community, managing practice leaders and collaborating with business units to share lessons learned and provide guidance on post‑loss analysis and wording.
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics to evolve claims data insights and Key Performance Metrics, presenting to the Quarterly Claims Risk Committee.
What you’ll bring
• Exposure Management: deep experience in major event/catastrophe and exposure management, including tracking and analysis of significant losses and emerging risks.
• Strategic Leadership: a proven track record of leading and inspiring cross‑cultural teams, driving high performance and initiative.
• Claims
Experience:
extensive experience handling complex claims across multiple core business lines (Property/Casualty/Specialty/Financial Lines), knowledge of litigation management and regulatory issues.
• Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: robust understanding of multi‑jurisdictional insurance law and claim regulations.
• Market Knowledge: strong grasp of Americas, UK & Lloyds and APAC & Europe market dynamics and systems.
• Customer Focus: high dedication to service, professionalism and diplomacy in broker and insured relations.
• Effective

proven ability to build productive relationships across the organization, guiding and seeking input to achieve results.
• Supportive of colleagues: mentoring, coaching and nurturing talent for future growth.
• Outstanding Communication: excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, influencing senior stakeholders with clarity.

• Fluency in English (and preferably a second European language such as French or German).
