Job Overview
As a Batch Field Service Technician, you will build batch control systems and ensure all hardware and installation requirements are met. This role involves providing on-site support to customers, with a primary focus on batch controls. Additionally, this individual will oversee the completion of hardware and installation tasks and submit service documentation for all on-site installations.
Qualifications- Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in electronics, engineering, technology support, or other similar fields, required.
- Associates degree in a related field, such as technology support, electronics, or engineering is required.
- Comprehension of computers, ready-mix plant control, relay logic, electrical engineering processes, and industrial controls preferred.
- Experience with control components such as motor starters, solenoids, and hydraulic/pneumatic valves.
- Hands-on experience handling low voltage (110
VAC), soldering, and wiring of electrical panels. - Proven ability to work collaboratively and solve problems creatively.
- Proven ability to complete tasks according to outlined scope and timeline.
- Self-driven and task oriented with proven ability to manage short-term and long-term expectations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Manage assigned on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and technical issues via the phone and internet.
- Understand customer requirements and requests and make appropriate recommendations.
- Provide clear instructions on operations and maintenance procedures to assist customers.
- Educate the client on product use and maintenance.
- Complete timely and detailed service reports, PO’s and expense reports.
- Document support issues in internal support database.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Participate in our 24/7 technical support rotation.
- Able to adapt to changing work schedules.
75% travel for onsite installations
