We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience in field service. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Duties- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools to identify problems accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment (cleaning coils, changing filters, checking refrigerant levels).
- Conduct equipment repairs on refrigeration units, boilers, and other HVAC-related appliances as needed.
- Collaborate with construction teams to assist in HVAC design and installation for new builds or renovations.
- Utilize mechanical skills to perform welding tasks when necessary for equipment repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system performance and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during each job.
- Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry or related fields (appliance repair, property maintenance).
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to work with various tools, including an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC design and construction plans.
- Experience in plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license required for travel between job sites.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
