Chelsea Piers is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated part-time Gymnastics Coaches to join our team. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children and working in a collaborative team atmosphere.
As a Gymnastics Coach at Chelsea Piers, you will create a supportive, energetic, and fun learning environment that promotes skill development, confidence, and a love for the sport. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year of coaching experience—or teaching experience. We are looking for individuals who bring professionalism, eagerness to learn and a positive coaching style.
Primary Responsibilities- Teach gymnastics classes to children
- Create a fun, safe and productive environment
- Attend all scheduled hours
- Create and implement age/skill appropriate curriculum for classes
- Follow rotation schedule
- Track class attendance
Up to 20 hours per week, afternoons 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm, one weekend morning/early afternoon per week.
Compensation$18-$25/hour
, depending on experience
- At least one year of experience coaching gymnastics preferred or participation as an athlete in gymnastics, dance, cheerleading or related sport
- Experience working with children is a must
- Exhibits an energetic, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times
- Ability to work independently or within a group
- Willingness to learn from and share knowledge with coworkers
- Enjoys working in team environment
- Must be energetic and enthusiastic
- Punctual and reliable. Maintains a neat and professional appearance at all times (CP Uniform).
