A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisor to join a high‑performing secondary school. This role is ideal for someone with previous classroom experience or a degree who is looking to develop a career in education. Many former Cover Supervisors have successfully progressed into teacher training.

The Role

• Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher

• Deliver pre‑prepared work and support pupils during lessons

• Provide feedback on behaviour and progress

• Manage classroom expectations in line with behaviour policies

• Support teachers with admin tasks when not covering lessons

What you will need

• Strong communication and classroom‑management skills

• A positive, flexible and proactive approach

• Experience working with young people (desirable)

• A degree or relevant background (advantageous)
