Freight Coordinator - Deep Sea Imports

£32,000 - £38,000 DOE | London Gateway | Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced Import Freight Operator looking for a stable role with a growing logistics business and a supportive team?

We're looking for a detail-focused Deep Sea Import Operator to join our London Gateway team, managing the smooth running of import shipments and working closely with customers, suppliers and shipping lines.

The role

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day import operation, ensuring shipments are handled accurately, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing deep sea import shipments from booking through to completion
  • Processing bookings and operational documentation
  • Invoicing and completing operational files
  • Liaising with shipping lines, customers and suppliers
  • Resolving invoice and supplier queries
  • Maintaining accurate operational records
  • Supporting the wider operations team and providing holiday cover
  • Following AEO procedures and company processes
  • Working towards Cargo Wise One accreditation
About you

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous freight forwarding experience, with a strong focus on imports
  • Good knowledge of deep sea import procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good IT and Microsoft Office knowledge
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to work independently once trained while contributing positively to a close-knit team

Cargo Wise One experience is desirable but not essential.
