The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Ocean Freight Imports Coordinator to join a successful and growing freight forwarding business. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics professional with experience managing the end-to-end import process, liaising with shipping lines, customers, and suppliers to ensure shipments are handled efficiently and cost-effectively.

Working within a busy operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating ocean import shipments, managing documentation, invoicing, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end ocean freight import process from booking through to final delivery.
• Process import bookings accurately, ensuring a "right first time" approach.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, hauliers, customers, overseas agents, and suppliers.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates to customers.
• Complete operational files, including Profit & Loss calculations and invoicing in a timely manner.
