Job Role We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Stanford-le-Hope. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking to join a stable company offering a Monday to Friday days-based role, excellent training opportunities, and long-term career progression. The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a range of production and site equipment.

You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure machinery reliability, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement projects across the site. Sector:
Manufacturing Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent) Previous experience working as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Strong fault-finding and mechanical maintenance skills Experience working within an industrial, manufacturing, production or processing environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities Respond to mechanical breakdowns and equipment failures Diagnose and repair faults on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors and associated equipment Assist with machinery installations and continuous improvement projects Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter Welding or fabrication experience Experience using CMMS systems Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

Experience with in a heavy industrial or automated manufacturing environment Multi-skilled maintenance experience Benefits Monday
