Product Manager - Fresh Produce

To manage the quality, handling, and allocation of grape products. The Product Manager ensures all stock is monitored, packed, and released in line with Group and customer requirements, maximising stock utilisation and maintaining high service levels. Duties:
* Monitor and manage quality on site to ensure compliance with specifications.
* Manage and allocate roll stock and sales orders to maximise utilisation.
* Supervise packing operations, ensuring staff follow standards and specifications.
* Motivate and encourage staff to maintain company quality standards.
* Plan and manage daily stock requirements and usage.
* Inspect and advise on returned or stored stock, escalating issues to management.
* Ensure all stored and dispatched products meet company specifications.
* Advise on quality issues during packing and conduct re-inspections when required.
* Ensure pallets are safely stacked and handled correctly.
* Conduct shelf-life trials to assess product quality.
* Monitor storage temperatures and advise on corrective action when necessary.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.
* Support trials, product evaluations, and other QC-related activities.

Skills:

* HACCP trained;
Quality training
* Prophet system experience
* Fresh produce QC or product management experience.
* Experience with grape supply chains.
* Strong product quality management skills.
* Effective communication at all levels.
* Ability to prioritise and adapt to fast-paced changes.
* IT literate:
Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to develop spreadsheets.
* Knowledge of health & safety and food safety standards.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* Methodical thinker with decision-making ability.
* Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.
