Working for a leading UK energy and logistics provider, the Security Officer will play a key role in protecting employees, property, and operational assets while ensuring the highest standards of safety and security are maintained. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrate professionalism at all times, and uphold core values of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness.
Key responsibilities as a Security Officer will include monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, conducting internal and external site patrols, controlling access to the premises, and managing vehicle movements and parking restrictions. The role also involves carrying out routine security equipment checks, managing keys and locking procedures, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all site security procedures are followed in line with operational requirements.

Job Description
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
- Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
- Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
- Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
- Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
- Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
- Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises

QualificationsWhat we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A valid SIA licence
- A valid driving licence
- Flexibility to work nights
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
- Ability to stand of long periods of time
- Ability to multi task
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
