Our client, an international logistics provider with offices all around the country, currently has an opportunity at their Essex office just outside of Basildon for a European Export Operator. The role will be dealing with European and UK Road freight Exports. You will work within a large Export department, part of a wider team handling European groupage services.

Purpose of the role: To manage the European groupage road freight operations from point of collection to final delivery.

• Arrange movement from origin to final destination, both international and within the UK.
• Liaise with customers, overseas partners and suppliers.
• Calculate costs for customers.
• Work out charges.
• Update the system.
• Keep customers updated with regards to their deliveries.
• Work Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

• Experience with in European Road freight operations.
• Understanding of taxable kilos.
• Experience with EU Customs paperwork.
• Previous experience working within a freight forwarder.
• Good understanding of European road freight operations with good customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team but also be self‑sufficient and confident with own workload.

Competitive salary £35k negotiable depending on experience.
