We are looking for a highly-experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1 to 1 basis within a primary school in Kensington and Chelsea in a full-time role.

The Role

In this role you will be providing 1 to 1 support for a little boy in Year 1 with ASD, and suspected Pathological Demand Avoidance.

There is support from the SENCo and external agencies in the Local Authority, but the child is in need of a highly specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to support them at all times whilst  dysregulated and overwhelmed, his behaviour can become very unsafe and so previous experience in de-escalation / restraint is important.

The role will start in January and continue at least until July, with the possibility to extend thereafter.

The ideal candidate must have extensive experience working with children with ASD and be able to commit to the role to provide the child with stability and consistency.
