Position

Enhanced Teaching Assistant (x6) – Grade 6 – Salary £28,142- £31,022 (pro rata for term time + 2 weeks)

Permanent – Full Time – Term Time + 2 weeks

Croft Community School is a special school for pupils who have moderate, severe, or profound and multiple learning difficulties or Autism Spectrum Conditions. The school is committed to providing a broad and engaging curriculum and supporting pupils’ independence and emotional wellbeing.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with complex needs, working closely with teachers to deliver learning, promote independence, and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.

• Support learning for individuals, small groups and whole classes under the direction of a teacher
• Plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities alongside teaching staff
• Provide specialist support for pupils with complex SEND needs
• Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
• Monitor progress and contribute to reports and pupil records
• Support behaviour, care needs and inclusion throughout the school day
• Work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals
• Assist with classroom organisation, resources and wider school activities

• Experienced, proactive and caring individuals with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs
• Enhanced DBS check required for the post
• Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the position
