Fire Engineer​/Fire Project Manager

The client is looking for a Fire Engineer / Fire Project Manager to oversee and coordinate fire safety across an airport transformation programme. The focus is on managing interfaces, risks, dependencies and construction phases from a fire safety perspective, while drawing on specialist fire SMEs when required.

• Act as the central point of contact between Technical Services, Airport Fire Safety, project teams and contractors.
• Coordinate fire safety reviews and ensure recommendations are implemented.
• Manage fire safety risks, dependencies and interfaces across multiple concurrent projects.
• Oversee interim fire strategies, construction phasing and operational impacts.
• Ensure alignment between project delivery, airport operations and fire safety requirements.
• Report fire safety issues and decisions through programme governance forums.
• Support operational readiness, phased handovers and ongoing fire safety compliance.

• 5-10 years' experience, although attitude and enthusiasm are valued over tenure.
• Strong engineering background with project/programme management skills.
• Able to understand complex systems and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of fire systems, ideally in an airport environment, but the ability to learn quickly is more important.
• Available to work 2-3 days per week on site at Stansted Airport.

The role is Insidie IR35 with a daily rate 450- 470 a day
