In the Extension Center for Technology Outreach, the Extension Project Specialist is responsible for collaborating with other faculty in the development of curricula related to computer literacy and technology issues among a diverse population of children, adult, and senior citizens. The Extension Project Specialist should use advanced learning technologies such as online training modules and courses, webinars, video conferencing to reach Extension audiences and other Extension employees.
Responsibilities- Bachelor's degree in an area related to Technology, Management/Business Information Systems, Agriculture Information Science and Education, or other related fields and 3 years of experience.
- Master's Degree in an area related to Technology, Management/Business Information Systems, Agriculture Information Science and Education, or other related fields, plus one year experience.
Indicated education is required; no substitutions allowed. When an applicant has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one year relevant education per year of required experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Some physical effort required including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Some in-state and out-of-state travel may be required.
