We're seeking an experienced part-time Controller to ensure financial accuracy and provide timely reporting to leadership and banking partners. You'll work closely with our fractional CFO and finance coordinator to strengthen our financial operations during an exciting growth phase.
This is a hands-on role - you'll both ensure accurate day-to-day accounting operations and provide strategic financial oversight. This role is ideal for a semi-retired finance professional looking to stay engaged with meaningful work.

Time Commitment: 8-10 hours/week (flexible scheduling), with additional hours at month/quarter-end

Location: Starkville, MS (hybrid schedule possible after onboarding)

• Ensure accurate, timely data flow from Cin7 Omni (ERP) to Quick Books
• Oversee preparation of P&L and balance sheet for CEO, board, and bank
• Prepare ad hoc management reports (revenue and contribution margin by channel/segment)
• Manage cash flow planning and forecasting
• Reconcile major balance sheet items to ensure accuracy of financial statements
• Prepare monthly compliance reports for banking partners
• Create and maintain financial closing checklist and procedures
• Partner with finance coordinator on process improvements and efficiency

• 5+ years accounting/controller experience, preferably in consumer products, retail, or e-commerce
• Strong Quick Books proficiency; comfortable learning new ERP systems
• Track record of accurate financial reporting for external stakeholders (banks, investors, boards)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing company environment
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach
