The Assistant Director for Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing and coordinating crisis response and the hospitalization protocol/procedure, facilitating clinical meetings, serving as the first administrator to respond to crisis calls as needed, and providing and facilitating crisis assessment. The Assistant Director for Clinical Operations provides supervision to trainees and the Triage Coordinator. This position reports to the Director of Student Counseling Services in the Division of Student Affairs and is a 12‑month position.
ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Director of Clinical Operations supervises trainees and the Triage Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Five years of clinical experience.
- Master of Clinical Mental Health or a related field.
- Ability to be licensed as a clinical supervisor in the State of Mississippi.
- Experience providing clinical supervision and serving in a clinical consultative role.
- Experience in working with crisis assessment.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively and professionally.
- Knowledge and adherence to ethical standards endorsed by licensing professional organization.
- Ability to provide leadership and maintain a cohesive team environment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced work environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Work is performed primarily in a temperature‑controlled indoor facility.
- Job frequently requires sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing.
- Job occasionally requires standing, walking, climbing, or balancing; stooping, kneeling/crouching/crawling; handling objects with hands, and lifting 25 pounds.
- Vision Requirements: ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
