Director of Supply Chain

Northeastern Mississippi, MS Search Area Up to $175K Base Salary + Bonus |Onsite

An aerospace and defense manufacturer is seeking an experienced supply chain leader to take ownership of sourcing, procurement, supplier performance, materials planning, inventory, and logistics.

This opportunity is well suited to an accomplished director ready for broader executive responsibility or a senior manufacturing supply chain leader with comparable functional ownership.

• Lead supply chain strategy and execution around production schedules, program requirements, and customer commitments.
• Negotiate supplier agreements covering pricing, lead times, capacity, quality, and delivery.
• Improve supplier performance and address shortages, sole-source exposure, and constrained capacity.
• Strengthen materials planning and inventory management while improving cost performance and working capital.
• Develop the supply chain team and establish clear priorities, accountability, and performance measures.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Finance, and executive leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, operations, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, materials, or operations.
• Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
• Significant senior leadership responsibility across procurement, supplier management, materials planning, and inventory, including complex supplier networks.
• Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, risk reduction, and measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, or lead times.
• Strong financial and commercial judgment involving contracts, inventory, working capital, and cost reduction.
• Ability to work onsite in northeastern Mississippi.

• DoD or government contracting environments and familiarity with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and AS9100.
• Manufacturing ERP/MRP systems and long-lead or constrained supply.
• Supply chain transformation, new program launches, or production ramp-ups.

• Full functional ownership with executive visibility.
• Opportunity to build a stronger team and shape supplier strategy.
• Direct influence on production readiness, cost performance, and organizational growth.

Base salary depending on experience, plus a 10% bonus. Benefits, bonus conditions, travel, detailed onsite schedule, and any relocation assistance will be discussed during the process.
